Sebring Home Inspection Companies inspectors have years of experience inspecting with thousands of home inspections performed. We offer a variety of services beyond home inspections including radon gas and water testing as well as scheduling your pest inspection. We encourage our clients to attend and participate in the inspection. Sebring Home Inspection performs inspections to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI®). Inspections can be scheduled for existing homes and new home construction (including phase inspections). Who are we?I'm Shawn Sebring, son of John "Jack" Sebring who began the business of inspecting homes in the Greater Cleveland area in 1979 and our company has since inspected over 8950 homes (some more than once). By focusing on you, our customer, a successful business has been created by performing thorough inspections and having very strong continuing education. These values have provided John with the credibility, reliability and reputation he has developed over the years. I joined the company full time in 2001 and have been intent on learning and carrying on the same values. We are both members of ASHI® and the North Central Ohio ASHI® Chapter. We have stayed involved in these organizations, either as officers or through other involvement, to keep the high level of professionalism that should be expected by home buyers and real estate agents in the industry. Are you Licensed?Ohio currently has no certification or licensing of home inspectors. ASHI® (American Society of Home Inspectors®) and other professional organizations are the only measure of quality and professionalism home buyers have in Ohio. There can be a big difference between the inspector who is an ASHI® member who is an experienced home inspector (who must follow the ASHI® standards and ethics) and the inspector who inspects to the ASHI® standards. We're IndependentWhen selecting an inspection company, keep in mind that a home is commonly your biggest single investment. A home inspection may be your best look at the home until you move in. Please consider an experienced, friendly and thorough inspector. We have performed over 9000 home inspections, with 50% of our business coming from past customers and their friends or relatives (Source 2002 Sebring Home Inspections Co. inspections). Our inspections are for you, our client, we stay at the house until all areas of the inspection are complete and you are satisfied. For a sample of what we look for check out this bedroom and this bathroom. We inspect single family and multi-family, new and existing homes as well as light commercial properties. Buying or Building a New HomeA private home inspector can be a great way to maintain quality control over the project of building a home. Most new homes are built to "code", however did you know that the "building code" is the "minimum standard" of building. We can help you with suggestions on the builders plan, perform phase inspections and help you with a final list or punch list for your builder before you take possession. If the home is already built, consider a private home inspection before you purchase or just before the one year builders warranty expires, to get a professionals point of view. Be sure to discuss these options with your inspector before you sign a builders contract.
